Wow, today marks my 300th blog post!
For 300 weeks, an email from me has arrived in your inbox every Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. CT. First and foremost, I want to thank you for coming along on this journey. Thank you for reading these posts, reaching out to share your thoughts, and inspiring me to keep writing.
When I began this blog, my goal was to share lessons about Family Legacy Planning: how to prepare our heirs, pass down family values, and create a legacy that extends far beyond financial assets. Over the years, it has evolved into a place where I can also share stories about my own family heritage, relationships, life lessons, and experiences, all of which shape the legacy I’m working to create.
As I reflect on these 300 posts, it seems only fitting to use this milestone to celebrate what I consider my greatest professional legacy: The Blum Firm.
The firm has given me a platform to share these messages with so many of you. More importantly, it has given me the opportunity to build something alongside an extraordinary group of people.
That is why I am thrilled to announce that The Blum Firm has been named one of Fort Worth Inc.’s Best Companies to Work For in 2026! To say I could not be prouder of our firm would be an understatement.
This honor is especially meaningful because the selection process includes anonymous feedback from employees about their experiences. To know that our team members feel supported, valued, and connected is one of the greatest recognitions our firm could receive.
I often refer to our team as my work “family,” and I use that term very sincerely. When I left the Big Law world to establish The Blum Firm, I made a vow to create a caring environment where people would be surrounded by colleagues who genuinely support one another. Seeing that vision come to life has been one of the greatest blessings of my career.
When I’m asked about my greatest professional accomplishment, the answer is easy: it’s the team I’ve assembled.
Our attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and support team share a commitment to our clients, to one another, and to excellence in everything we do. No one here is flying solo. We collaborate, draw on each other’s strengths, and continually go above and beyond to fulfill our mission:
- Caring for our clients and each other;
- Collaborating with other advisors and among ourselves; and
- Creating a community of character and talent.
For 300 posts, I have written about what it means to build and pass down a meaningful legacy. It brings me tremendous gratification to mark this milestone by shining a light on a part of my legacy that means so much to me and on the people who have helped me build it.
This honor belongs to every member of The Blum Firm. Thank you for the talent, heart, and dedication you bring to our firm each day. As the saying goes, “It takes a village,” and boy, am I thankful for mine!
