Attorney Spotlight on Kaitlin R. Goddard

This week, we are proud to spotlight Kaitlin R. Goddard and recognize several recent accomplishments that reflect the depth of her work and her growing impact within the probate and estate litigation community in Texas. Kaitlin is not only an excellent attorney; she consistently distinguishes herself through her professionalism, leadership, and commitment to serving clients and the legal profession.

For the past eight years, Kaitlin has dedicated her practice to probate law across the state of Texas and now focuses primarily on serving clients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. She has successfully handled hundreds of estate administrations, including complex matters involving personal injury claims and real estate. Throughout her work, Kaitlin takes great pride in guiding families through some of life’s most difficult moments with clarity, compassion, and care.

In addition to her probate administration practice, Kaitlin represents clients in contested estate matters, both intestate (dying without a Will) and testate. She has also spent several years serving as a certified court-appointed attorney ad litem in probate and guardianship cases, providing thoughtful and independent advocacy when it matters most.

Kaitlin’s impact extends beyond her client work. She is actively engaged in professional education and recently presented at November’s Brown Bag Seminar Series: Wills & Estates for the Tarrant County Bar Association, sharing practical insights with fellow practitioners. She was also recently published in The Verdict, the official publication of the Tarrant County Bar Association, where her article, The Intersection of Texas Probate and Personal Injury Law: Understanding Authority, Standing, and Capacity,” offers practical guidance to attorneys navigating the complex overlap of these practice areas. Her writing reflects both her depth of experience and her commitment to helping other lawyers better serve their clients.

Further strengthening her ability to help clients resolve disputes efficiently and thoughtfully, Kaitlin has also recently earned her certification as a Certified Mediator through the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution.

In recognition of her work and professional reputation, Kaitlin was named to D Magazine’s 2026 Best Lawyers Under 40 list, an honor based on peer nominations from Texas attorneys who have experienced her work firsthand. She was also recognized by Fort Worth, Texas Magazine as one of Tarrant County’s Top Attorneys in Probate, Estates, and Trusts in 2025.

Kaitlin has also created a growing library of informational videos for The Blum Firm, breaking down important probate topics such as probating an estate in Texas with an original Will or a with only a copy of a Will. You can watch these videos in The Blum Firm’s video library, with additional content on the way.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kaitlin is a devoted wife to her husband, Kevin, and a proud mother to her daughter, Kendall, who recently celebrated her first birthday. She enjoys attending live music events and discovering new restaurants across the Metroplex, always on the lookout for her next favorite spot (especially if it has a patio). Kaitlin also has a strong passion for interior design and is continually inspired by new creative projects around her home. When she’s not working or exploring the local dining scene, she can often be found at home spending quality time with her family—and their three beloved cats.

Kaitlin’s accomplishments reflect her dedication to excellence, service, and continued professional growth. We are proud to recognize her contributions and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to have on her clients and the legal community.

Bravo, Kaitlin!
